There
are plenty of tourist attractions in Belgium. Because the
country is relatively small, travel distances are short
and there are a many places, which can be visited in just
a few days.
If it
is just Brussels you intend on visiting, apart from sampling
the local food, beer, chocolate and enjoying the atmosphere,
many of the attractions such as the african arts museum
are withing biking distance or a short tram ride away. Just
outside Brussels is Meise, Atomium, Waterloo and Beersel
all of which with their repective attractions and only being
a 15 minute car journey from the centre of Brussels.
Further
outside Brussels, there are many towns and cities such as
Oudenaarde, Kortrijk, Damme, Bruges, Namur and Rochefort
to name just a few, all have beautiful countryside, architechture
and castles to be explored.
